Bid Companion Write Mode
With Write Mode in the Bid Companion, you can automatically generate text for your proposals. This feature is designed to help you quickly create a first draft, based on the documents you’ve added as context.
Documents as Context
Before you can generate text, you’ll need to specify which documents are relevant to the topic you’re working on.
-
Click “Documents.”
-
You’ll see a list of available documents within the project, such as:
-
Tender guidelines
-
Clarification notes
-
Attachments or other relevant annexes
-
Project documents
-
-
Select the documents that are relevant to your text.
You can add multiple documents as context.
These documents form the foundation on which the Bid Companion bases its response.
Generating Text
-
Click the “Write” button.

-
Enter your request in the input field.
Describe as clearly as possible what you want the Bid Companion to write and which details are important. -
The Bid Companion may ask additional questions to better understand your intent.
By answering these questions, you help the AI create a text that is accurate and aligned with the tender’s content. -
The generated text will appear on your screen.
You can copy it by clicking the copy icon
(visible to the right of the text when you hover over it).
When to Use Write Mode
The Write feature can be used for various types of writing tasks, such as:
-
Drafting an initial version of a response for a specific criterion
-
Summarizing or rephrasing existing text
-
Generating boilerplate content (such as company profiles or standard paragraphs)
The quality of the output depends on the context you provide and the clarity of your prompt.
The more specific your request and your selected documents, the more focused the result will be.
Combining Search and Write Modes
Write Mode works best when used together with Search Mode.
With Search Mode, you can retrieve relevant text fragments from previous proposals, such as well-written project examples or policy sections.
Once you’ve found a suitable text, you can directly use it in Write Mode.
Example:
“Use the text from the safety section of the 2022 tender as the basis for this response.”
This way, you combine proven content from previous bids with new context, resulting in a coherent and accurate response aligned with the current tender.
Good to Know
-
Write Mode only uses the documents you explicitly add as context;
it does not pull in any data beyond that, unless you activate Search Mode. -
The generated text is a draft and should always be reviewed before submission.
