What is the Project Planning feature?

The Project Planning feature in Altura gives you a visual overview of all ongoing projects. In this calendar view, you can easily see which tasks and deadlines are coming up.

  • Each project is visually displayed as a dot or label on the specific date.

  • By hovering your mouse over a dot, you’ll see the specific task or deadline for that day.


How do you use the Project Planning feature?

Follow these steps to make use of the Project Planning feature:

  1. Go to Projects: Navigate in the left-hand menu to Projects > Project Planning.

  2. Search projects: Use the search bar at the top to find specific projects.

  3. Filter boards: Apply filters to only display projects from relevant boards.

  4. Filter assigned to: Filter projects by team members, or find projects assigned to yourself or others.

  5. View the calendar: See planned projects distributed across the calendar view. Hover over a dot to see the task or deadline for that day, or click the dot to go directly to the project.


Applying Filters: Selecting Boards

To display the right projects, you can easily select boards:

  1. Click the Boards dropdown at the top of the screen.

  2. A window will appear showing all available boards.

  3. Check the boards you want to display (e.g., Forecast, Active tenders, etc.).

  4. Click Save to apply your selection.

This filter helps you only see projects relevant to you.


Applying Filters: Pro

With the Project contributor filter, you can search projects based on team members:

  1. Click the Project contributor dropdown at the top of the screen.

  2. In the search bar, type the name of a user or scroll through the list to select members.

  3. Select the relevant user(s) and click Save.

  4. The overview will now only display projects assigned to the selected user(s).

1. Can I select multiple boards at once?
Yes, you can select multiple boards to create a combined overview.

2. Can I export the planning to my personal calendar?
Currently, it is not possible to export the entire project planning. However, you can export individual project calendars. To learn how, you can read this article.
