Commenting & Notifications in IBB (Intelligent Bid Book)

You can now leave comments directly on highlights and rows in IBB, making collaboration faster, clearer, and more contextual. Whether you're reviewing a requirement or clarifying a document highlight, everything stays where the work happens.

Commenting in IBB

You can add comments in two places:

  • On table rows (e.g. requirements, criteria, profiles)

  • On PDF highlights (text you’ve selected in a document)


A. How to Comment on a Table Row

  1. Open a table in IBB.

  2. Click on any row to open the detail panel.

  3. Go to the Comments tab.

  4. Type your comment and hit enter, or mention a teammate with @name.

B. How to Comment on a Highlight in a PDF

  1. Select text in a PDF to create a highlight.

  2. In the right-hand panel, open the Comments tab.

  3. Add your comment — and tag teammates with @.

How Notifications Work

If you tag someone in a comment using @, they'll receive an email notification with:

  • Your comment

  • A direct link to the row or highlight

Tips & Notes

  • You can edit or delete your own comments.

  • Everyone with access to the project can see comments.

  • Comments are not threaded, they appear as a single list.

Q: Can I comment without tagging someone?
Yes, the comment will still be visible to your team.

Q: Can I turn off notifications?
Not at the moment. If you’re tagged, you’ll always receive an email.

Q: Can I see all comments in one place?
No, comments are tied to specific highlights or rows and shown only in that context.
